Collaborated with NASA, AFRL, and SDL subject matter experts on early CubeSat mission development including: Mission Objective definition, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and high-level requirements based on the University Nanosatellite Program framework. Also supported existing mission operations and assisted in commanding in-orbit AFRL asset.
Co-founded BOBSAT-1 Cube Satellite mission and lead the Systems Engineering team at University of California Merced. During this time I lead the team through initial feasibility studies, working with stakeholders to define mission objectives, concept of operations, tier 1-3 requirements, system architecture, and high level design. I trained the first team of students and structured the systems engineering team for reliable long-term progress while facing cyclical changes in program leadership.
Led the project design team and worked closely with the systems engineering team to connect Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts to parametric design documentation and cloud file management system. Used Papyrus software to create and update SysML files to track design drivers and design verification plans.Â
